About the Role
Winstanley College is seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor to join our dedicated Student Support team in this key internal middle management role. Reporting to the Assistant Principal (Support for Students), the successful candidate will lead a team of Guidance staff, including Assistant Senior Tutors, Guidance Coordinators, Personal Tutors and Study Supervisors, to deliver high-quality pastoral provision that supports student achievement, well-being and progression. The role includes acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, leading on attendance, behaviour and student support interventions, monitoring progress against key performance indicators, and contributing to cross-college initiatives. You will work closely with staff, parents/carers and external agencies, while also supporting quality assurance, staff development and operational planning within the team. The post may include a teaching commitment of up to one block. This is a full-time, term-time role (plus A-level Results Day and enrolment), on Management Range D1–D3, with access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
