Winstanley College is a very special place. We are proud of our long and sustained record of high achievement, but just as proud of the fact that our student retention is amongst the highest in the country. Our new Principal will ensure we continue to maintain a relentless focus on academic achievement, provide exceptional enrichment activities and respond positively to changes in our sector. A commitment to partnership working, dynamism and a readiness to lead change will be key to sustaining our national reputation.
Your leadership record will instil immediate credibility with peers and partners, and you must be capable of creating and driving a highly effective strategy which builds on the reputation and ethos of the college. Focused experience of teaching and learning in the 16-19 cohort, and preparing students for the transition to tertiary education, would be a distinct asset. We want to hear from people who understand how to sustain educational high performance in a way that celebrates the whole person, and whose vision for a flourishing learning community will enable us to keep providing the very best for our young people.
