Salary
Scale 7 to 10 - £25,951 - £27,733
Hours of Work (Full Time)
Term Time: 11:30am – 7:30pm
College Term Breaks: 8:15am – 4:15pm
About the Role
As Lead Cleaner, you will play a key role in ensuring our college facilities remain clean, safe and welcoming for students, staff and visitors. Working as part of the Estates and Facilities team, you will lead by example, maintaining exceptional cleaning standards and supporting the smooth running of the cleaning service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, communal areas and facilities.
- Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the college.
- Supporting and coordinating cleaning activities within the team.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards and health and safety concerns.
- Assisting with the implementation of cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Promoting a safe, welcoming and professional environment for all college users.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous cleaning experience, ideally within an educational, commercial or public sector environment.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Can lead by example and support colleagues to maintain high standards.
- Holds a First Aid qualification or is willing to obtain one.
