EXAM INVIGILATOR 
Temporary/Casual, Part-Time
The hours will vary according to the operational requirements of the College between 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Hourly rate is £11.84 per hour

Context

Winstanley College employs approximately 180 staff and has approximately 2000 students, primarily studying A-Level with some students following mixed programmes which include other Level 3 courses

Main Duties

  • To conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Winstanley College instructions.
  • To play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process

Duties

  • To distribute question papers and associated examination materials, as directed.
  • To maintain a register of attendance in examinations, provide a seating plan and details of candidate absence, as directed.
  • To collect examination scripts as directed and to collate these against official attendance registers.
  • To oversee the commencement and completion of examinations.
  • To participate in relevant staff development and training activities.
  • To work as part of a team and to ensure effective working relations.
  • To undertake all the above duties in accordance with the College’s procedures in order to satisfy regulations of the Awarding Bodies.

Winstanley College is a large sixth form college specialising in AS/A levels and Level 3 vocational courses. The College is regularly towards the top of the league tables and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement, comprehensive pastoral care and extensive enrichment.
