- Salary: £23,618 Point 8 (£26,343 per annum, pro rata)
- Contract: Term time plus 10 days
- Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm (M-F 5 days)
Winstanley College is seeking a Media and Film Technician to support our thriving Faculty of Creative and Performing Arts.
The role involves providing high-quality technical support across Media, Film Studies and T Level Media and Broadcasting, working in industry-standard facilities including TV studios, editing suites, podcasting studios and performance spaces.
Key responsibilities
- supporting staff and students with media and film equipment and software
- managing the safe storage, maintenance and issuing of equipment
- providing in-class technical support and troubleshooting
- supporting Winstanley TV, podcasting and film projects
- filming and editing content for curriculum, enrichment and assessments
- supporting health and safety requirements, including risk assessments
About you
You will be organised, technically confident, and able to work calmly to deadlines. Experience in a similar role and/or within an education setting is desirable. An enhanced DBS check is required.
