This vacancy has arisen following the retirement of a long-serving and highly valued member of staff, creating an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a clean, safe and welcoming environment.


Salary

Scale 3 - £24,759 for Full time

Hours of Work

Term Time: 3.30am – 7.30pm

College Term Breaks: 8:15am – 12:15pm


About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in ensuring our college facilities are maintained to a high standard for students, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning a range of areas across the college and helping to create a positive environment in which people can learn and work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, washrooms and communal areas.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising designated areas.
  • Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies as required.
  • Reporting maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns.
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored safely.
  • Following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures.


About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Has previous cleaning experience, although full training will be provided.
  • Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
  • Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has good attention to detail and a commitment to providing an excellent service.
