About us
Winstanley College is a vibrant and inclusive sixth form College committed to providing outstanding education and support for our students ages 16 - 19. We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community, high achievement and dedication to helping every student reach their full potential.
About the Role
More than 400 students study Art and Design across A-level and Art Foundation programmes. The department is housed in an impressive, purpose-built, self-contained facility dedicated exclusively to art education. Creative arts subjects are co-located within this specialist building, which includes spacious fine art studios, graphics and photography suites, a darkroom, photography studio, textiles studio, printmaking areas, a kiln and ceramics room, and a recently refurbished 3D workshop. Students also benefit from access to VR and 3D printing technologies, while Art Foundation students have dedicated studio spaces on the ground floor.
Outcomes at both A-level and Foundation are consistently outstanding, with results significantly above national averages across all subject areas. The department also offers a rich programme of extracurricular enrichment, including day trips, national and international residential visits, and a variety of clubs such as costume and colouring, 20:20 print, and knitting.
We are seeking a motivated and supportive individual to join the department, someone who is committed to working in the best interests of our ambitious and creative students.
